Dan Williams, P.Eng.
Engineering Consultant
Dan Williams is an engineer with over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry. His experience is focused on upstream and subsurface activity across numerous conventional, unconventional, and tight oil and gas plays in Western Canada. Previous roles have provided extensive experience in evaluations for acquisition and divestment, management of corporate reserves, and building capital budgets.
Steve Minions, BSC, P.Geo
Geological Consultant
Steve is a geologist with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in Alberta and British Columbia. He has collaborated on significant discoveries and development drilling programs in the Slave Point, Leduc, Nisku, Wabamun, Kiskatinaw, Montney and Lower Mannville successions, and evaluated plays and prospects from surface to basement. He is conversant with a variety of exploration and development tools as they can be applied to the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (seismic, microseismic, geochemistry, sedimentology, structural geology, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, land, H2S regulatory issues) and has directly led and drilled more than 250 wells (horizontal and vertical).
Bill Kerr, B.Sc, P.Geo
Geological Consultant
Bill Kerr is a geologist with over 40 years in the Canadian and international exploration and mining industry. His primary interests are gold and uranium exploration and mining. He was directly responsible for discovery of two of the worlds four highest grade uranium deposits, (Phoenix and Midwest A) and was a geophysical contractor 40 years ago for the surveys that defined the conductors that became the other two (McArthur River and Cigar Lake). He was QP for the mining of all the McClean Lake deposits, by operator AERVA. He has spent many years in Ontario, and was exploration manager for Dome Mines for the Red Lake and Timmins offices. During that time, he was involved, in varying degrees, with discovery and delineation of economically mineable gold deposits at Dona Lake, Detour Lake, and Musslewhite. He has personally staked more than 500 claims, and was awarded in 1996, and maintains, a lifetime Prospector Licence through MNDM.
Dr. Jay Hodgson, B.Sc, M.Sc, PhD
Research Exploration Geologist
Dr. Hodgson is a Research Exploration Geologist with over 40 years of worldwide experience in base metal and precious metal exploration. He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal and received his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley. From 1972 to 1995, Dr. Hodgson was Professor of Economic Geology at Queen’s University where he taught and carried out a program of mineral exploration research on gold, base metal VMS and Sedex, and copper-gold porphyry deposits in collaboration with the mining industry. During his tenure at Queen’s University, he supervised over 50 graudte theses and published 45 scientific papers including several landmark articles on economic geology and exploration. From 1996 to 2006, Dr. Hodgson was Chief Geologist at Barrick Gold Corp. where he was involved with designing Barrick’s worldwide exploration programs and ensuring that the company maintained its technical edge among the gold exploration word. During his mandate at Barrick, he was involved with the exploration of several world-class gold deposits such as Pierina and Alto Chicama in Peru, Pascua-Lama in Chile, Valadero in Argentina, and Bulyanhulu in Tanzania. Dr. Hodgson brings an invaluable wealth of experience and his passion and enthusiasm for exploration to Argo Gold.
