Overview

High-grade gold across multiple targets in the Birch-Uchi greenstone belt

Argo Gold’s 100%-owned Uchi Gold Project covers about 25 km², roughly 90 km east of Red Lake, Ontario. It hosts three main gold zones: Woco, Northgate and Raingold. There are further targets at Woco South and along the Woco–Northgate corridor. Argo received a mineral exploration permit for the project in April 2026.

Geology

The project sits in the Archean Birch–Uchi greenstone belt. Gold occurs in quartz and quartz-carbonate veins and the altered rock around them. The main guides for exploration are rock contacts, deformation zones and sulphide-bearing alteration.

Highlights

  • Woco: 132.3 g/t Au over 1.8 m (drilling, 2019), with a mineralized trend traced over about 400 m of strike
  • Northgate: 26.26 g/t Au over 2.65 m (hole AGN-21-024, 2021), with a strike extent of about 500 m and more high-grade results 225 m to the northeast
  • Raingold: 32.84 g/t Au over 2.5 m (surface channel, 2021).

Exploration Drilling To Date

Exploration drilling to date at the Uchi Gold Project has tested mineralization to depths of 60 to 120 metres with the exception of Woco drill hole AGU-19-007 that intersected 7.4 g/t Au over 0.5 metres was intercepted at depth of about 200 metres.

2019 Drill Program
Argo Gold conducted a fifteen hole, 2,500 meter helicopter-supported program at Woco/Northgate. Two of the fifteen drill holes targeted the Uchi Break, three holes targeted the Northgate Vein, several kilometres to the south of the Woco Zone and the balance of the holes tested the Woco vein strike and plunge extensions.
Results from 2019 are in the table below:
